Michael Meggison

Michael has over 50 years of shooting and gun fitting experience, and has been a qualified coach since 1972.

He has represented Great Britain in 2 Olympic games, 1980 & 1984.

Michael is the ONLY person to win the British Championships in all 3 Firearms events (Pistol '76, Rifle '77 & Shotgun '91). His record can never be beaten as pistol shooting is now banned in the UK.

Aaron Meggison

Following his father Aaron started shooting when he was 7yrs old with a gun bigger than him!

At the age of 13 he had qualified for the British Olympic Trap, Universal Trap & Double Trap shooting teams, where over the next seven years picked up various medals in English, British, European & World Championships.

Aaron won the Silver medal in mens pairs at the Commonwealth Shooting Championships in Malaysia.

Penny Connor

Penny has been shooting for over 25 years and represented her University at National level, winning 2 National Championships whilst coaching the team.

She was University of Hull's sportswoman of the year in 1998 following her success.

Penny returned to Kelbrook in 2012 after spending 14 years as a solicitor but deciding that her passion is in fact shooting, not soliciting!

Geoff Priestley

Geoff started shooting in 1980 and is our longest standing resident instructor.

He won the West Yorkshire Round DTL Championship in 2009 and the All Round Championship in 2003.

If not our instructing, Geoff is normally found in or around the grounds at Kelbrook honing his skills further.

Geoff '99' Radovic

Geoff is a very keen shooter, having started with pistol shooting in 2009 and converted to clay shooting in 2013.

He has seen great success with his clay shooting and recently shot 99/100 at Kelbrook (which is the highest score ever recorded on our layout).

When Geoff is not teaching he can usually be found shooting at Kelbrook.
